Betsy Rippentrop, PhD, is a licensed psychologist, yoga teacher, author, and speaker who believe the sum of psychotherapy and yoga is much more powerful than the individual parts. She began her yoga practice while pursuing her P.h.D. as a way to balance the stress and intensity of the study. After completing traditional training in counseling psychology and working in a variety of settings including academia, hospitals, and private practice, she opened up a yoga studio and began to integrate the ancient wisdom of yoga with the modern science of psychology.
Dr. Rippentrop has completed over 800 hours of yoga teacher training. As owner of Heartland Yoga she teaches regular yoga classes as well as teaching workshops on yoga for the mind. She integrates yoga into her individual work with clients, and is the co-author of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to the Chakras.
If you’d like to bring Dr. Rippentrop in for a workshop or lecture on this topic, please contact her at email@example.com.
