Jennifer Bedet (she/her)
Jennifer earned her teaching certification through the Kripalu School of Yoga in 2021 and since then has been facilitating yoga and meditation in private and studio settings. She is especially thrilled to join the teaching team at Heartland, which has been her “homebase studio” for many years now!
With an easeful authenticity, Jennifer weaves together mindful movement and breathwork to
create a gentle, grounding practice. Jennifer’s yoga and meditation offerings are rooted in the Kripalu tradition and are also deeply informed by research on the therapeutic benefits of these modalities for physical and mental wellbeing. To that end, she has studied with numerous experts in this field, including Drs. Arielle Schwartz and Stephen Porges (Applied Polyvagal Theory in Therapeutic Yoga), Bessel Van Der Kolk (The Body Keeps the Score), and Betsy
Rippentrop (Yoga for the Mind).
Jennifer frequently reminds students of one of the most powerful lessons she learned in
practice. A “perfect yoga class” isn’t one where you do everything the teacher says or do every pose the hardest way possible; rather, a “perfect yoga class” is one where you perceive and
honor the needs of your own body.
