Join Heartland Yoga for Mindful Jam, for a facilitated gathering of bodies in exploration and expression of movement, dance, and embodied knowing. Inspired from contemplative practices (and the work of Barbara Dilley), ShawnT (MFA Dance), will guide participants to move from the initiation of breath to neuromuscular awareness and choices. Participants will be encourage to work with what is present in their body, energy and nervous systems in relationship to the presence of other bodies, gravity and space. Structures of rhythm, release and the practice of joy will connect participants to themselves and the collective. The Jam intends to hold inquiry for: How do we find space in our bodies to better know ourselves while practicing in the allowance of the collective body? How do we re-imagine the embodied worth of our time, energy, and spaces? How do we let go, return to the Earth, and become the Jam we wish to see in the world?
No judgment, no ‘experience’ needed and welcoming all abilities and peoples. Pay what you can.
