Scientific research suggests mindfulness practices can help improve physical, emotional, and mental well-being, and support us in cultivating greater compassion for ourselves and others.

Payment of $250 (cash, check, or credit) secures your spot in the class.

Kerri Eness-Potter


Kerri Eness-Potter teaches Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and leads mindfulness follow-up groups at UI Hospitals and Clinics. She is also the instructor for mindfulness-based academic courses on the University of Iowa campus, and serves as the advisor to the UI student group, Mindful@Iowa. Before beginning to teach mindfulness in 2011, Kerri was a teacher in the Iowa City Schools for 18 years. 


Kerri has trained with Jon Kabat-Zinn through the Center for Mindfulness (CFM) at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and has earned the CFM’s Certified MBSR Teacher distinction. She has a personal practice of mindfulness meditation and yoga, and regularly participates in extended silent retreats.

Her daughter and golden retriever, Wilson, are also some of her most important teachers!
