Heartland Yoga is a collective of highly trained yoga teachers from diverse traditions with a shared commitment to mindful practice.


Our mission is to provide the yoga community of Iowa City and beyond with quality workshops and classes that support exploration and evolution of mind, body, and spirit.

We are committed to personalized attention, fostering relationship, and building community.

We teach in the light-filled, healing space at Heartland Yoga in the heart of Iowa City. Yoga mats and props are provided. Come as you are!

Heartland Yoga is a community of like-minded people who gather together to share this beautiful practice known as yoga. This community is inclusive and life affirming, inviting all to come and share our spiritual journeys. Our teachers deeply understand that it is grace and a connection to spirit that support the success of our classes. Students may be new to yoga or may have many years of practice – everyone is welcomed.

New students to Heartland can take unlimited class for 2 weeks for $25. This is designed to help you find a teacher and class time that works before committing to a 10 week session.

Heartland Yoga is on the second floor of the Plaza Towers building, the tallest building in town. Plaza Towers is located in the heart of downtown Iowa City next to the Public Library, where College Street meets Linn Street.
